Now
that the timber floating floor over the VIPs had been completed the
previosue day it allowed the Skirting Heating to be installed today as
per programm.Skirting heating being installed to the Living Room and Diner.

Below
is the Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs) have to be chopped into the
walls as discussed. To keep the floor perimeters sealed we have filled
behind the TRVs.

After
receiving the long awaited Solar Heat Gain (SHG) it was apparent that
things weren’t as ordered. The fixing brackets were very ‘Mickey Mouse’
and we had to design a suitable way of adapting our PV rails and
brackets. This was discussed and achieved by the team, but meant we
would have to order more brackets form our PV suppliers. The distributor
of the SHG was so impressed with our bracket and rail system that he
asked to take a section away and he informed us that he would look to
supply this kit with future systems that he sells. Well done to the Team
of BBCL
Our
Carpentry Supervisor arriving on site to organise himself for the
following day where he is to carry out the additional kitchen wall works
as agreed by The Client, due to the lack of insulation in the kitchen
rear wall.
Site
discussion amongst our team regarding the additional electrical supply
which is required for the Heat Recovery Controls and the New Cooker
Supply.
Due
to the poor insulation in the kitchen walls, it was decided to remove
the plasterboard and insulate them. This was a good move as the timbers
which were for the plasterboard walls to be fixed to which were floating
and were only sandwiched between the steel window reveals and steel
studs.
Insulation
to the second floor elevations to both properties as all the new
windows were completed at the end of Thursday. Just need to pop back
tomorrow for the Door.

Mechanical protection fixed over services which are behind the insulation.
225mm
code 5 lead is mechanically fixed behind the base track. This ensures a
weathered flashing which will be dressed over our 3 layers felt roof
system upon completion of the rendering.Completion of insulation to No.14 but excluding the area located along the SHB gas pipe installation route, this area has been delayed due to the late arrival of the system from Portugal
Partial Installation of SHG Panels to our PV track and brackets.
After
insulating the kitchen walls with 70mm Foil Backed Insulation, we then
re used the existing tannalised 100mm x 20mm plates. Only we ensured
that they were actually fixed into the steel studs this time instead of
being wedged in place. We had to make allowances for the fixing of
kitchen base and wall units through the plasterboard wall to ensure an
appropriate fixing.
